Dr Jacqueline Allen

Incoming Treasurer

Dr Jacqueline Allen is a lecturer in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University. Jacqueline’s research is about the development of antisocial behaviour and mental health problems from childhood to young adulthood. These problem domains are often linked through the misuse of drugs and alcohol, and studies of these problems have underpinned her research agenda. Antisocial behaviour, poor mental health and wellbeing, and drug and alcohol misuse are major impediments to young peoples’ thriving and societal participation. Jacqueline is committed to translating research findings in these areas into preventative strategies, particularly through building the capabilities of frontline professionals and community agencies to make better use of measures, tools, and methods based on solid science. Also of special interest is the statistical modelling of complex longitudinal processes, and innovative use of administrative data.
